Let's keep the goal post where it was at. Both Taiwan, parts of modern day China, and North America has been colonized. North America was actually colonized much earlier.

If you want to make the argument that everyone who isn't descended from native Americans leave North America, and everyone who is descended from Han Chinese leave Taiwan, make that argument. But that isn't what you want is it? You want to make some what aboutism argument.

BTW, most Americans are sympathetic to indigenous independence movements. Americans take great pride in their native American population and don't want to see them extinguished.

Where are you getting this misinformation from? Taiwan has indigenous people still alive there today and speaking their own languages. The Formosan, Taiwanese Austronesians, Yuanzhumin or Gaoshan people. Taiwan is just as colonized as the US/Canada.

America would lose cheap blue jeans and bratz dolls. China can't feed itself their people would starve.

If China stopped trading with the US it would just bring back local manufacturing and make the US economy strong again. Chinas economy would be crippled. Neither could hope to occupy the other. I say go ahead and play that card.

No, the position of the un and every other country is to support the status quo. You can call it one china but not the same country.

Taiwan is no more part of china than England is part of the united states.

That's not true. Americans don't need a Visa to go to Taiwan but they do to go to China. If they were the same country they wouldn't have separate passports, separate currencies.

America never once said they were the same country. They said they are one China to make the Chinese government feel better. That was careful language. They said they could unify peacefully and they would not interfere . But if China tries to take take Taiwan by force it will be war.

Most of it is open source. You need to add a few things to make it work. That's what lineageos did.

They open sourced it to drive adoption. And to make app development easier.

Obviously they don't own the Linux kernel so they must release kernel changes.

They want to do away with that with fuscia so maybe they do want more control over the kernel intellectual property

It's not perfect. I don't think I trust anyone currently in congress to write a better one.

And not anyone on a internet forum either tbh.
