This made me switch to Invidious. Farewell YouTube.

I really like the fediverse and I couldn't imagine it blowing up like this 10 years ago. We've come a long way since then.

This app is great, but the font is a little small

Now let me replace the operating system, have unified drivers and I'll be fine with it

Wanna know what /u/spez can't replace? Deleting data. Just delete all your accounts and let everyone leave or don't participate in any subreddit and make sure the front page is flooded with posts exposing Reddit. Engaging in conversations as if nothing happened is exactly what Reddit wants. In fact blow the whole thing so big that advertisers would jump off as well. If nobody is moderating at all Reddit will just replace it with staff or pro-spez mods. It's such a big problem and it's like they came all prepared. You really have to choose the nuclear option in this war.

Actually no, that's the problem. Mods that have been replaced are pro-spez and not moderating at all would produce a Twitter-like scenario. Investors would still invest for a while until they really jump off. Reddit would be a broken platform, but loyal users wouldn't jump ship. I still have a hard time convincing friends moving away from Twitter even though it turned into a Nazi shithole like Gab, Truth Social or Parler.

The irony lies within the fact that the blackouts don't really harm Reddit as much as anyone likes to believe. As Rossmann already pointed out that protesting for a few days doesn't do anything to the platform. Overloading the site and making investing into Reddit look bad and scaring off investors would hurt /u/spez. For him we're just noise and mods are dolls that can be easily replaced with Reddit admins. It's such a mess right now and I wish /u/spez a cakeday in his arse.
