I read the title and thought “wow that’s unexpectedly cool of her to proactively go after terrible homophobic websites and get them taken down somehow…“. Then I read a little bit more and realized it was HER website. Of course.

Normal soap should be enough to clean your hands and kitchen tools. I believe the issue with rinsing chicken in the sink is that the water can splash little droplets around very easily, and those droplets can have the chicken bacteria in them, thus spreading bacteria around your sink area.

I’ve not posted much on Mastodon, but I used a couple of hashtags and an interested-based group that automatically boosts any post you tag it in and I’ve gotten some people to respond! But yeah Lemmy and Mastodon are pretty different ways of interacting with people so I can see how you might like one more than another.

tldr; Go to settings and turn on “Automatic Verification”. Only works in Safari and you need at least MacOS Ventura or Sonoma. This also works on your iPhone (mine was automatically turned on!)

I think most people don’t know what SSO is, so it wouldn’t help them adopt this other technology they also know nothing about. I’d love it though!

It’s like the best combination of a shower and a bath! I also started when I was younger… I had to get up really early in the morning and the only way I could get myself out of bed was to lay down and basically sleep in the shower. It was soo relaxing but eventually woke me up enough for the day. I still do it sometimes when I really want to relax or am very tired.

As of like a day ago, Memmy lets you change the sort order for comments. There’s no way to set the default yet, but I’m sure that will come at some point.

It really does just make me so happy when using it. Everything is so slick and beautiful and works exactly like it should. It makes interacting with the huge amounts of content feel manageable. I'm also sad that it'll be gone.

Hopefully the design can be resurrected in a Lemmy client some day...
