Does anyone know what they are doing with context data send to their system? Could only find that the saas version had some audit, but didn't know that term.

It sounds interesting enough to try it in day to day work, but we can't use most AI tools so far as it violates our company rules when we send parts of the code base as context.

Really need to speak to our lawyer again about this...

Klingt sehr spannend. Hast du zufällig einen Link dafür?

Well, long before that the device would stop working. More important would be improved repairability. My current phone is in year 4 and the hardware is starting to die. But I can't replace the battery or other parts that start breaking. 20 year software support means nothing without that hardware lasting that long.

In that regard I think 7 years is already plenty. If they pair that with easy to replace batteries and screens that would go a long way.

That's true, we also have the unfortunate situation that we don't have any relatives that could support us. All grand parents live at least ~5 hours away. Moving isn't really an option for my wife because of her work currently.

Really sucks...

The weird thing about this is, a few of these things are rather hard once you have kids. Don't know the last time when I slept alone in my bed or had a slow morning. But well, you get other things in return, like the pure love of you children so it's fine haha.

In Germany they aren't that common, especially not as snacks. You can get it raw from the butcher for sure but in the supermarket I only remember seeing "Krustenbraten" so a pork roast with skin on.

I might try that in the future. Well not sure how easy it is to find pork rinds. Never tried it before

Just with the title and picture it looks more like "shittyfoodporn" haha.

But homemade nuggets are a different story. I sometimes make chicken burgers with a cornflake breading. So much more taste than bought stuff, but lots of work for 3 to 4 people.

I find your idea using pork rinds very interesting, how does it taste?

It's definitely not all. My current team definitely has respect for all that special tooling / ux stuff I'm doing. Especially since nobody was able to do it before I was hired.

But I also had the experience that older Backend devs don't take it seriously. My guess would that those stoped learning about frontend tech in the late 90s and it's a case of not knowing what you don't know.

An interesting read. Of course just an personal opinion as the author said, but I think he is correct in lots of his points.

I noticed that I think / feel like this myself sometimes, even while I'm a frontend dev myself.

Fortunately I'm in a nice team that values my frontend skills that all the other full stack/ Backend devs are missing.

Did you notice this bias / devaluing of the frontend work yourself?
