Interesting question. Have to admit I’m not sure exactly how to answer! At eight books in there’s a lot of story to summarise… :) It’s a “mages in space” universe. Lots of space combat, which mages have a hand in. Mages are part of a ruling class, and there are “mage” vs “mundane” political tensions… It’s not a prophecy fulfilment kind of story, though our main character does start off as a bit of an underdog.
