My girlfriend will look at things eg. Colours, items, clothes, food etc and point out all the things she likes. For me those things just exist and I don't have much of an opinion on them. Like theres 100 paint colours them but they're all fine, how am I meant to know whether any are better than the others.

I am also not known to get visually excited about things, I got a skydive for my 30 birthday and I think everyone was disappointed with my reaction even though inside I was very excited to do it.

A printer or printer firmware. There was a discussion about this elsewhere on lemmy, of course this would be difficult and expensive but it would be very cool

It's really surprising this doesn't already exist. It's such a hated piece of tech, I would have thought someome would have thought they could do better! I don't know enough to do it myself but I'd sure as hell support a project to do it!

Incredible to see how far blender has come. I remember using it over ten years when I was trying to get off pirated software (3ds max), while it's still recognisable the capability has exploded

This is incredible news. So sad to see tiberian Sun isn't there though!

Sounds like you were the odd one out, everyone I knew had plenty of VHS and DVD. They were a very common gift also

I think that is downplaying it, while mobile devices caused the major boom in access, the Internet was already prolific before

The Internet has changed almost every aspect of daily life, I don't see why you don't think it is as innovative as the invention of the car.

I would teach critical thinking, probability, empathy and logic more
