Wikipedia says Gen Z is born from mid to late 90s, which makes me a Gen Z'er. I use adblocker and try combat enshittification a few ways, including contributing to the commons. My day job is being a firmware developer for an opensource company. I'd say I'm tech savvy.

I think there are quite a lot of people like me, it is just that there are more people using technology at younger ages, effectively diluting the pool of Gen Z'ers you are encountering both online and in person.

Always thought garlic bread is such a steal. Often you can get 2 (small) baguettes for less than £1 and G Bread is so good. When my plans of world domination come in, free garlic bread for everyone is first on the agenda.

While I don’t think these numbers are particularly doctored, I have learned caution from using ourworldindata.

I believe it is largely funded by Bill Gates and so has biases to retain the status quo, as this keeps the billionaires at the top.

Of course there are no unbiased sources, but something to keep in mind.

I think you’re talking about Wake on LAN (WOL)?

Not done this from my deck, but do this from Linux machines all the time. You can easily do this from a command line, in the pacman sources there is a package called “wol”. So could just make a bash script to run it for the MAC address you want to wake. And this talks about adding a bash script to game mode.

Very small and niche change to an i2c driver, so that composite devices will work with this driver.

It’s a rarely used driver, but I found an issue with my stuff using it, so thought could spare some people the pain of figuring it out again.

6.6 is special to me because it contains my first Linux patch, woo!

Interested in this, how does it fair so far? Is it comparable or better to the original? I was hoping there would be OLED screen mods at some point. Also maybe larger screen space as there’s a fairly large band around the original. I guess you don’t have any information what drivers it uses? I see it says “no driver required” so either the same as the original or another mainline Linux driver.
