SwitchBot has released a new firmware update (V1.4-2.2) for the Hub 2. The current version was V1.2-2.0.

Key improvements:

  1. Resolved some known issues (unspecified)
  2. Improved Wi-Fi connection stability

Personal experience: After updating, I encountered a temporary issue with the Matter implementation. Temperature and humidity sensors were reporting 0.0 values in the Apple Home app for about an hour post-update. However, this resolved itself without any intervention after approximately an hour.

Ah that makes a lot of sense. Appreciate such a quick turnaround!

Hello,

Could someone explain why the Mlem app seems to be at the top of the list based on my iOS privacy report collected over a couple of months? It's a bit weird that no other apps or Mastodon clients reach such high numbers. The Ice Cubes app, for example, only collected 10 domains even though it's also an ActivityPub based network. Additionally, Mlem app's second most frequently contacted domain was a Google domain used to track app analytics, similar to Snapchat, Reddit, or Monzo. Can anyone provide some transparency on this? Thank you.

Currently I’m missing:

  • Apple Maps
  • Aqara
  • FIREUK
  • Monzo
  • ipv6
  • tradfri
  • trading212
  • TrySwitchBot
  • Withings
  • OctopusEnergy

It’s a pretty big list, but these are the main communities which force me to still have Reddit account. Maybe one day we will be able to complete get rid of it but not today.

Can we mirror very niche Reddit communities? Edit: would be great to have a website where we could paste the RSS feed and get this set up automatically.
