+1 for alfred, 1password, and dropbox.

I've been using Bear for notes forever, syncs across all apple devices, and is super nicely designed. My only gripe is that encryption doesn't work with files attached to the text.

I use bartender to manage my menu bar. Not super happy, might check out hidden bar.

They look similarly minimalist. I like reeder because it really boils thing down to the essential.

Agree that Reeder is excellent!

Sponsor paid songs?

Sure! Subscribing to that too. I’m just a bit fed up with the lemmy obsession with Reddit, Twitter and Meta. It gets in the way for other information.

Wefwef. Mlem is showing promise.

Om det här förslaget går igenom får stora bolag en gräddfil på nätet. De som kan betala för sig får snabbare uppkoppling mot slutanvändarna. Väldigt uselt förslag.

Had a look at oleandrin the most promising one in Wikipedia. Apparently it is very toxic. So we’ll see if this actually works or not. A long way from an AI model to treatment of aging.

Sure. But also convenient to divide people who really should be working together toward making a better world. It’s easy to blame boomers, zoomers, or genx-when in reality all those generations are in the same boat.

You should try getting through it. Arachnophobia is a big part of resolving the plot A beautiful end.

The Tao of Pooh.

I just spun up a private instance of lemmy on the cheapest Linode. So far so good.

I used the ansible method of installing the instance on the default Debian 11 image from Linode (link below).

I feel a bit worried that there are no firewall instructions in the install documents. And no notes on securing your instance.

Any thoughts on how to set up ufw for a lemmy instance? Or thoughts on other security tips?
