The arrogance shown to assume I don't understand because I disagree with you haaa!

I don't know why you're jumping to insults when trying to have a discussion about this, as that's what Lemmy is for surely, discussions??

Why are you making it about solely her genetics saying that she'll win based on these alone? They've been the same when she's lost several matches as I was pointing out...

You're doing her a massive disservice by dismissing the amount of hours, effort, blood, sweat and tears she's likely dedicated to training, and being rude to this "average minded person" for pointing that out.

You do you though

Sports where physical strenght and constitution are more important than technique will always be dominated by people with a better genetic pool.

You're literally talking about whole sports in your first sentence, nothing specific about that...

The video you posted is from 2022, the same lady has another one from 9 days ago and 13 days ago which are much less anti

Going by this timeline wonder how her content will be framing quantum computing in the next couple of years

haha let alone what she'd be posting or quantum computing will be able to do within your /the OP's article's 10 year timeline

how come doubt? Amazon, IBM, Google, and Microsoft have already launched commercial quantum-computing cloud services.

Not sure what you mean by ethical superiority? There's some pretty horrible and unethical instances on the fediverse... And I disagree with you that mass numbers of people means success

[–] fcuks@lemmy.world 3 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago) (4 children)

If you are after larger numbers of people, why are you here and not on legacy social media where the numbers mean those platforms are better in your opinion?

I get what you're saying but if the whole population of where ever you are does the same, then the water usage would be huge. and not sure if you were joking but if not, what do you do the whole time in hour long showers, jesus ! haha

your reply is n=1, when op is clearly talking about mass adoption

[–] fcuks@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago (1 children)

completely agree, what would you do to reform it out of interest?

i got an iphone in november to try it out and play with lidar etc. I had buyers remorse pretty quickly and now months later have had enough of the rigidity and am returning it for an android phone. I don’t understand the hype to be honest

My first year going very excited Woooooo

EDIT - the dev i forked it from added a lemmy option and is absolutely smashing it on the dev front, definitely recommend to use theirs!!

Yo FIrefox just accepted my extension which makes interaction with other lemmy instances easier.

Chrome still tbc but Google should've accepted it by this time next week methinks.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/lemmy-link/

https://github.com/FackJox/lemmy-link

It adds a small icon to other instances so that you can easily open it in your own lemmy instance for interaction etc.

It's simple, rough and ready but super useful, just input your lemmy instance in settings and then enable it for all sites or just the lemmy sites you want and hey presto.

Open for ideas, collaboration and feedback as always :)

It would be real sweet if you could paste in an instance into the community search, and see what communities they have set up and join straight from the https://lemmy.world/communities community browser UI.

I just found out about https://feddit.uk/ earlier, and being a Brit wanted to join a bunch of the communities and had to use their feddit.uk community browser and then paste the link in one by one into lemmy.world search, and the open up the community in lemmy.world and then press subscribe.

Or even being able to subscribe an instance could be decent, but no doubt a lot more work and resource usage constantly federating new communities across etc.
