I have no idea what the "got funny?" thingy in the corner btw

Yeah, jobhunting is hell and you aren't alone at this. Just keep checking and applying, eventually you'll be employed! Good luck with this!

It's cool that in some places mental support is so accessible! We were checking for a psychiatrist for my GF recently and holy cow they're expensive! We're going for them anyway ofc.

I don't think you're fucked at all. Your life situation like that for a reason, and that reason can be treated and fixed. I mean, I don't know your situation so I can't really say for sure but I believe you'll be able to deal with it.

Supportive people are of a huge help, whether online or IRL. It may be hard to befriend people and keep the friendship but it'll possibly be the hardest step to make, as the next ones will be done with others.

I also find it helpful to keep some hopeful and affirming media around, for times when my mental issues cause me to fail. E.g., rewatching some Bocchi the rock episodes help me cope with anxiety when it leads me to fail something important.

Therapy can also be an option but it costs money so I can't say if it's an option for you.

NO-SKIN is a turn-based roguelite survival horror with gruesome pixel art and obscure story. I've been playing the free beta some time ago and this game rocks!

(To cherry it you need to beat all 5 opponents without losing ever.)

Eepy gaming is the best gaming!

I love this game so much. It has such an immense atmosphere, the mechanics are great and it's very fun to explore the world map!

I beat the game at level 11. Here's my setup for the final boss:

spoiler

Dylan: electrical (yellow) tower shield and holy potions

Orlok: poison (green) trident and a mist orb (this stuff helps reaching the boss without unnecessary fights)

Thyme: electrical lance (was too lazy to grind materials for a trident) and poison tower shield

Blocking with tower shields is soo efficient, I was losing under 100 health from the tentacles.

The ending is

spoilervery mysterious of course, I really like too!

Yeah, it was it. Why was it starting by default though? I don't recall fiddlying with pipewire at all...

I created a new user on this system but anything with sound plain doesn't work - the main user of the system has no issue though.

I already added the new user to the audio group, pulseaudio and pipewire are started by xfce during login too.

For example, when trying to open an mp3 file with mpv I get this:

[ao/pulse] The stream is suspended. Bailing out.

[ao] Failed to initialize audio driver 'pulse'

Could not open/initialize audio device -> no sound.

Audio: no audio

I figured my comment was more dismissive than helpful so I'll elaborate a bit. I was following the website a year or so ago and noticed they were constantly updating their articles so I subscribed to their RSS feed.

Then I saw a lot of conspiralogical weirdness, enough to quickly retaliate and unsubscribe.

They also have an article about forum software where they praised some imageboards while dismissing raddle because it's leftist.

There's another website about web browser privacy called privacy watchdog or something, it's partially based on the DD's articles but with no conspiralogical BS in it (unless they're added it recently).

The author of the article is a COVID denier if I remember correctly.

Be safe, and good luck.

Thank you good stranger!

@HelixDab2@lemm.ee I don't see your reply from my instance for some reason so I'll reply this way.

Try to get asylum in a less awful country.

Easier said than done unfortunately.

BTW, just want to point out that the implicit assumption here is that OP is queer, and wants to fund a support group. But it’s also possible that OP is homophobic, and wants to find queer people in order to publicly out them.

This is a fair concern although I doubt bigots would ask here instead of e.g. Reddit.

Yeah... I also read their wikipedia pages and they seem to sell a lot of sensitive info of their users. Not very trustworthy unfortunately.

Thank you, I'll look into it!

Most people are on a local FB-like social media that's extremely toxic. Also requires a phone number for registration... but I will think on it.

Someone actually recomended datapps to me to find queers so thank you for this warning. Though I would skip them anyway because they're such a privacy nightmare.
