A bit of topic but why the hell does the champagne wiki reccomend Edge as a browser citing it's AI capabilities? Is this copied directly from MS marketing material?

Edit: I am starting to read through it and there Is so much bad, outdated and just wrong information there:

  • they recommend to set a DNS level adblocker using an app that isn't supported on the android version the guide is for and completely forget that you can just set the DNS server without any additional app on any modern android version (what is what the provider of the Dns server they recommend reccomends)
  • they tell you protonVPN doesn't support Torrenting (maybe just bad wording) and recommended mullvad because of that

I don't really want to continue beyond before-you-begin

Edit2: Uh why is there an extensive article on how to deal with addiction and how to do meditation in the piracy section?

I don't think I should continue any further

Edit3: you can contribute to the wiki by sending markdown files in a discord channel. Wikipedia should switch to this model as well imo

You can lock the files you're sharing, so that other people can see them, but are unable to download. Unless they are specifically allowed to do so. Many people that do this only unlock the files if you have something good to trade (that's also locked) or you pay them

Here's the context on how the data was gathered https://www.ubaada.com/post/9be82972

I don't really get, why people praise soulseek so much. It lacks the resilience of torrents. There is much cool stuff, but no quality control and structure. And the cool old stuff is artificially locked in order to keep it rare.

You can't stream lossless music via Spotify but downloading flags from Deezer is very easy. You can find the links on fmhy

small status update: i tried the update packages (from both cfirmwareupdater and mi community) and it errored out with the message that the update could not be verified. so i probably need to go the fastboot route anyways so i probably just use an up to date custom rom directly

Thanks for your input. Installing lineage os is something I have thought about. And I'll probably do that since it's eol for Xiaomi.

The model codename is sweet like you deduced (the EEA version btw). I have found those unmodified Roms as well, which is the reason why I am so confused here.

On another note: What made you choose crdroid over stock lineageOS?

Hello Everyone,

I just found out, that my GF's Phone (Redmi Note 10 Pro) is still on MIUI 13.0.16 and Android 12 with Security updates 2022-11-01 therefore.

The device is eol, but all sources I could find tell me that the last available version should be Android 13 with MIUI 14.0 or HyperOS 1.0 https://hyperosupdates.com/hyperos/sweet

The Device was set to automatically download and install system updates but apparently it didn't update for 1.5 years. And manually hitting the "search for updates" button only returns the info that no updates are available.

Has anyone of you some idea what could be the issue here?

They probably just search for the information they already have and if somewhere your Name + Address and a SSN shows up it's quite likely that this is your SSN
