Yes I downloaded like 2 resolution apps for further trying after trying all the resolutions available on my Mac ๐Ÿ˜‚. Maybe a 2010ish monitor is just too old to match a 2020ish laptop?

Yeah I'd followed a guide online for calibration which I think made it worse. I've played around more now and it looks best when it's mirroring my built in screen but doesn't look great when it's in extended display mode. I'll probably stick the switch on it and see how it looks.

Thank you! They have a little drop-down box where you can set it to show as many as 10 per row!

But will they be adding favicons? Big reason why I started using Firefox in the first place

Hmm I don't think so, I had a look through settings and I don't think I was opted into anything. My zoom was normal at 100%

I am using ublock! I'll turn it off just to see if that restores it, but there's no way in hell I'll subject myself to seeing ads

Sounds like we're in the exact same situation lol. Please let me know if you end up using an alternate frontend and it works better!

Oh I might have to take a look at that, I also use FreeCAD! Damn look at all these things you're introducing me to ๐Ÿ˜‚

My next build was (probably) going to be a remix of the iris and I wanted to include a joystick so I could use it 4 ways (towards left, highlight words to left; to right, layer; up down, vol controls).

I'd never come across 4/5 way switches before so that's definitely something I'll be looking into! Thanks for sharing!!

What CAD program do you use for designing your cases?

I started off with the quefrency, a split 'normal' keyboard, then started making my own (3d printed handwired) orthos.

Then I saw the alu case for iris and got tempted but am unwilling to drop >$300 on a layout I've never used before, so designed my own case with tilt and 3d printed and handwired that (all for ~ยฃ30 only!! split orthos CAN be cheap! - my first post on Lemmy was on this :D) And have been daily driving it so far

Column staggered is defo the way to go

Did you get this from Tumblr

On the hot hot hot days in summer I wet a cloth and lay it on me usually on my chest. It does dry out your skin a little over time/days but it's worth being able to fall asleep imo.
