My favorite worker placement game is Viticulture (Essential Edition, with Tuscany Expansion). It allows a lot of interesting opportunities with both short term planning (how can I optimize my local space and play with the spaces the other players haven't used) and longer term planning to develop your vineyard.

In an entirely different direction, Just One is a great word-guessing game that very easily supports different people round-by-round.

I think it depends on what you want to put in the header. An overall description of the file, it's goal, etc - that sounds great.
A changelog saying who changed what, when? Our version control system is tracking that for us already.
