Bernie is popular with the left (including me) but not Democrats at large (and definitely not with the right). He didn't get nearly enough support in 2016 to make it. He's definitely not one to compromise his values though, I don't know where the commenter got that idea.
With Hillary they had been dragging her name for 30 years. They haven't had time to Hillary Kamala. The misogyny and racism aspect may indeed hurt her, but luckily most of those votes were already Trumps

In general, I believe a two woman ticket would get fewer votes than a woman/man ticket, which would get fewer votes than any male-led ticket. The misogyny effect is strong. But it really depends a lot on the specific people.
