Why are people doing this at voting locations in the USA? in c/mildlyinfuriating@lemmy.world

There wasn't much of a line at 7:00 a.m. a week ago when I voted in that same building, but last year it took me half an hour or so to get up to the door. It's also typically a little longer wait on weekends.
