I am eternally astonished at how narrow these moderators are. I wouldn't put them in charge of a wheelbarrow.

It was a nice post. About the way we see, and how people used to see, and how we think. What may have changed.

And yes, it was invariably confrontational. Everybody refuting, nobody entertaining or speculating. A bit like talking to religious zealots.

 

A zombie is dumb, ugly, stinky, violent and a slave to eternal hunger. It's pretty bad.

 

Rob is blowing a whistle, over and over.

Bob: "Why are you blowing that whistle, Rob?"

Rob: "To keep the dragons away."

Bob: "I see no dragons."

Rob: "It works!"

 

Not gain knowledge or gain the right knowledge or even think better, because those are constrained to certain assumptions. I want to escape illusions. How do I do that and get better at that?
