Fedora because I like it

I like GNOME a lot (currently using Fedora GNOME with a bunch of extensions), but I'm eagerly awaiting the release of System76's COSMIC since it seems like it's basically GNOME with all the customisations I end up making anyway, and will be far more modular and customisable.

Good luck with that lmao

I took Plasma's Wayland session for a spin a few months back but it had too many small annoyances for me to daily drive so I switched back to X11. However, now I started noticing horrible screen tearing in Flatpak applications and lo and behold, as soon as I switched to Wayland they disappeared. It's really frustrating because most of not all of the little annoyances persist, I had to look up how to run Yakuake under X11 so it wouldn't just appear in the middle of my screen for example, but I'd rather deal with them than with screen tearing so I guess this is my life now.

I just wanted to get out my frustrations and also find out if anyone else has had problems. It seems to me Wayland is far from ready for prime time on Plasma.

I'm a man (in public at least lol) and I send hearts to pretty much everyone I consider a friend, of all genders.

I only ever used Bitwarden after I switched from Dashlane and I couldn't be happier. The Android app is incredible, it's got a great browser extension and it syncs for free. If you don't trust them to store your passwords on the cloud I understand that but I wouldn't know what alternative to recommend.

Because it's an organisation dedicated to upholding capitalist imperialism and thus white supremacy. It was founded to combat communism and took a bunch of Nazis on board for that purpose.

That'd be really cool!

It's not ideal, yeah. I've been able to make do with manually adding covers but it's a mess...

If you're looking for something like goodreads or bookwyrm but aren't interested in the social features, I can't recommend this enough.

Wow, I've been meaning to learn git, this is amazing!

I've been using endeavouros for a while now, but want to switch to a point release because I'm not in a position to do massive updates every few days anymore

I've tried installing libinput-gestures-qt, set gestures to plasma default, set the daemon to autostart and restarted the system and three finger swipes do absolutely nothing. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I would prefer it to be open source, but at this point that's not a necessity. I need an app that can open word documents, powerpoint presentations and excel spreadsheets (maybe PDFs as well but I could always get a separate app). So far I've tried Openoffice & Libreoffice Document reader from F-droid which worked fine for documents but simply would not load pptx or xlsx files. I've now installed WPS Office from the Play Store but all the conversion options are clogging up the share with.. options every time I want to send a picture. I would appreciate any recommendations at this point.

Unfortunately it's not currently on F-droid but it seems like that is a planned goal.

Edit: I came across this project while looking for an alternative, because Fennec F-Droid did not sync my history with my desktop browser when I installed it. I did, however, reinstall it and this time it worked, so I am now using Fennec.

Pretty much just the title.

Been looking for an alternative to gmail and out of all the ones I've looked at protonmail seems to be the best one.
