This is my second year watching Ocean Robins' Food Revolution Summit and the topics sound great again! Curious if anyone here has heard of it or is watching along. The summit is 8 daily (11am EST) episodes that began today with great topics from great hosts and incredible guest interviews. Lots of great personalities from the vegan and whole food plant based communities, including my favourite, Dr Gregor!

RSS has always been great! Thankfully I never relied on Google Reader and have been using Newsify for 5+ years. Great app with a great newspaper view as well as an identical web version. Keept me off of Google and don't have to rely on Feedly either.

Newsify also supports Feedly accounts though I've never needed to consider migrating. I think I've had a couple full text issues with certain items but it's been amazing great and I've really enjoyed their product and price point for subscription ($50CAD/yr, I believe)

I would argue that it is quite disingenuous to equate eating a plant with eating an animal. This makes the waters intentionally muddy, allows excuses to be made for how many animals one consumes, and does not take into account anything past the killing of the animal such as industry impact on climate, etc. This also shows some genuine misunderstanding of plants. With fungi for example, only the “fruiting bodies” are typically eaten as mycelium is often throughout healthy soil, and consuming a single mushroom does not kill the entire organism. Slaughtering a genetically engineered chicken that can’t stand up anymore is not the same impact or “killing” as eating a mushroom.

Lastly, animals also eat vegetables, plants and grains. Are these deaths somehow not on your hands when you eat meat? Arguably this would involve even more death and killing even if we do abide by the above flawed definition.

I’ve been using http[://]onhockey[.]tv which is pretty okay with an add blocker and VPN. I’m definitely open to other options but another subscription for IPTV is not ideal imo. One benefit to onhockey is that they have a ton of games from many leagues though I haven’t tested them all.
