I don't know if there are zero Renault in the US but Mozilla themselves say that Renault aren't sold in the US:

While Renault cars haven't been sold in the US since 1992, their cars are big in Europe, South and Central America.

source

So it is kind of strange to hold it against them. On the other hand that doesn't seem to be too important because nobody cares about what they signed or not.

Thank you for that link and Thank you to Mozilla for doing those tests. I always suspected something like this but it is good to have it tested and in writing.

My only gripe with the article is this:

All of the car brands on this list except for Tesla, Renault, and Dacia signed on to a list of Consumer Protection Principles from the US automotive industry group ALLIANCE FOR AUTOMOTIVE INNOVATION, INC.

Renault and Dacia aren't available in the US, so there is really no need for them to sign those principles. Which makes Tesla the only one where this is relevant.

Try https://code.org. It's free and really well done with a low barrier of entry. There are different types of tasks for various ages.

I use Nextcloud with Carnet. I haven't used Keep in years so I don't know the current features but when I made the switch to Carnet it was very comparable.

On Nextcloud it is an app you install separately. For your phone you'll find Carner on f-droid. Sadly there is no client for iOS. Link https://www.getcarnet.app/

What exactly? The being forced to plant trees or trees in your yard in general?

[–] bobbytables@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago (6 children)

I currently build a house. To get a permit for the building I have to plant and maintain(!) trees in the garden for the next 20 years - one large one (like beech or maple) or two smaller ones (like pear or hawthorn) for every 200 m2 of land. Only specific locally common trees are allowed. If I don't have the trees I will be fined.

I mean that's not much but it is a start. Trees should be mandatory.

Ich feiere es, dass sich "Kabine" zu etablieren scheint!

Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Subnautica - I imagine it would be kind of like Waterworld but with stewards and a chef? I think I like it.

Klar, Schrödingers Ausländer: Sitz faul daheim rum und kassiert Sozialhilfe, während er allen Deutschen die Jobs wegnimmt.

Ich dachte immer, das wird ähnlich wie "cabin" gesprochen. Daher vielleicht "Kabine"?

I need help with wget and I hope to find it here. My goal ist to mirror a site (the soon to be replaced website at work) and I tried to do so with wget. I am totally able to mirror the pages and filter out the unwanted file types.

My problem is this: on several pages (e.g. /internal/forms) there are linked files like this /files/12345/form1.docx. So wget doesn't save the file in the folder internal/forms but creates a new folder files/12345.

I understand why this happens but I really need the file in internal/forms and I can't find a solution - is there any way to achieve that? Thank you so much for your help!

Yes, I know it's a Bob Marley Cover - it's in the title 😉.
