You need to consider anything and everything you post to the Fediverse to be part of a public, everlasting record. At least in it's current state, the Fediverse is not the place for privacy oriented users.
Surprised beehaw hosts images at all. Sounds like that could become very expensive very quickly.
While Firefox was getting stale they invested in Pocket, and VPNs and stuff.
At least those products could have given Mozille a source of income in the long term if they became popular enough. Money that could have gone towards keeping Firefox going.

CDs in current gen physical copies aren't really much more than a license to download anyway considering many require a gigantic day 1 patch to play. So the CD doesn't really give you anything anymore (except I guess you could lend it to a friend).
Oh. Now I feel bad. I've bought keys a few times from such sites assuming they just bought them in bulk for resale ☹️
