I also found this thing. Which has an interesting form factor but no idea what the underlying spec is banana-pi.org/web/index.php?to…

I found the #Lenovo #smartclock which runs a version of #Android and has people tinkering with it xdaforums.com/t/xiaomi-mi-smar…

@wildbus8979 Oh right you are talking about #texttospeach for # pushtotalk using Browser Mod smarthomescene.com/guides/brow… - For the UI interface. I was thinking more like making video call or sending a voice/video message.

Im interested if people are finding anything witha similar form factor to Alexa Shows or Lenovo smart clocks that can run Linux ?

Im particularly interested in something with a decent speaker, integrated camera and display. Ideally 12v DC or POE powered.

I'm also looking for self hosted apps with pushtotalk or Dropin features.

I know I could probably cobble something together but ideally something well formed but would be cool.

What are people's thoughts / suggestions?

@nevodavid @jawa21 Hopefully it will be fixed soon. I'm keen to spin up an instance and try it out.

@dogma11 I'm hoping to put #Promox on a Dell Optiplex Micro soon. I'm currently running Yunohost on Cloud VM and on a RaspberryPi locally. Looking at configuring backup at the moment and also seeing if I can work out how to do the config for #Zigbee2MQTT so that they can add that as a supported application.

@Psythik @dogma11 I'm a bit of a broken record on this but #Yunohost is fairly low effort and allows you to get basic Nextcloud and a few other apps running fairly quickly.

@meonkeys True.. but I Don't think there's a lot of work in their packaging. - And in terms of geting something running .. its low barrier to entry. Both are definately worth a mention.

@meonkeys Have you mentioned #Yunohost and #coopcloud cloud recently? I think they are really interesting #selfhosting projects

@Charger8232 @Swedneck For me I kind of finally discovered that Its bloody handy to pull together content from different sources into something like Frendica .. you can flip between different groups of feeds.and easily.share stuff from there.

@WeAreAllOne
Hey I'm new to #Yunohost running #Friendica #Nextcloud and #HomeAssistant - Hoping to have #ziggbee2mqtt in there when it becomes available. I am looking at back up now. Do you use #joplin for backup? - I have started talking to the #coopcloud people as I understand that is #container based.
