There is another way. Push back. Decline meeting invites along with a note "Thanks for the invite but I don't think I'm needed at this one am I?" 90% of the time people don't even read your decline reason. Or just leave yourself tentative till the last minute unless you really believe you need to be there.

Far too many devs seem to think you can't decline meetings and yet spend their time descoping development work because we're too busy... When it comes to annual reviews / your next contracting gig, the guy / gal who got the work done is the door who's door is knocked on.

In fairness the question is open to interpretation. They don't specify if they mean western or eastern Arabic numerals.

As schools in the west already teach western, the people responding could justifiably deduce that the question is referring to eastern.

Could it also be to do with the increased lethality of SUVs? A study in Ireland shows 11.5% of pedestrians hit by an SUV were killed versus 4.5% for a car.

No law is perfect and there's always an edge case to provide a reason for doing nothing. This is definitely a step in the right direction to stop the arms race that purchasing larger vehicles has become though.

Does boost for Reddit still work? I quit Reddit and deleted my account and moved to lemmy. I assumed boost for Reddit no longer functioned.

I'm in the exact same position as you and take the same approach. It's a hill I'm getting a mildly stubbed toe on.

As well as the tracking data there's also the loss of advertising revenue that would be generated via the official app. I don't remember ever seeing adverts in boost.

Good point. They are pretty cheap to construct. All in less than €400 per unit but will take a few hours each to build.

Agreed, I've just stopped logging in. I'm not even going to bother deleting posts but I've moved. There's no hope I'm gonna start using the official Reddit app.

I do miss a few subreddits but Lemmy has plenty to keep me busy during my toilet breaks.
