Is your pixel supported by the web installer? If so it's literally just changing a couple settings on your phone and then pressing a couple buttons on a webpage. The easiest ROM I've ever installed.
Next step is Mull (hardened Firefox).
I used to use an iPhone X to move photos from my camera's sd card to my ssd while traveling. The transfers took a long time and would definitely have benefited from faster transfer speeds.

Graphene OS on my pixel 6. All my banking apps work. I have Droidify (f-droid), the aurora store, and the play store installed.
Some apps on the play store say they don't support my phone, but I can install them from the aurora store if I have it report my actual phone model.
Also you'll get a huge increase in battery life.
