Last spring I converted 125 sqft of my property into a wildflower garden. It was a lot of work but seeing all the birds, bees, and butteflies hanging out in it all the time makes me so happy!

I plan on doing another 125 sqft this year again!

Yes of course there are actually a lot of differences, being a homeowner after renting for years I am very aware. My comment, partly in jest, was focusing on practical day-to-day differences. But also, getting equity in your house is actually not that big of a windfall if you sell, because you still have to live somewhere and the other houses/rentals have all gone up in cost to match. I suppose if I was to move in with someone... but I dont plan on doing that ever.

But anyways yea fuck capitalism

Well technically thanks to the rising housing cost crisis I've gained about 50k in equity in the past 3 years. Does that count?

Ah I hadn't considered that move would still be available in such a late game position.

Im confused about why this is special? If white has mate in two, why would they not if the board was mirrored left-to-right? Couldn't any chess puzzle could be mirrored like this and have the same, but mirrored solution?

By the title I thought it would be that both white and black would both have mate in two depending on whose turn it is which would be marginally more interesting.

Just putting it out there that "property owning" is not the class deliniator! I "own" my house/property and the only differences are that i pay rent to a bank instead of a landlord, and i can knock holes in the walls if i want to.

I'm still pretty much paycheck to paycheck, squarely in the working class.

Yes but it doesnt always align with night time. Half of the time the moon is rising at the same time as the sun. Its very common for the moon to be visible during the daytime if its on the other side of the sky from the sun so we can see the light reflecting off of it

Might be the best answer to this question I've seen yet

I live less than a half-mile from my kids' school, and people ask why I walk them instead of driving... everyday I see people who live closer than I get in their cars and drive 2 blocks to pick up their kids!

Its madness I tell you
