The Superior seemed like she needed some friends to keep her company. This is turning out to be a nice simple, quick, color scheme to get to a reasonable level. It will be hard to pivot back to Space Marines instead of continuing with Sisters. I'll have to get back to them soon.
I was really motivated for this guy because of the @warhammer40k@lemmy.world contest and was almost finished before I remembered there were base-size restrictions. Oh well, I got to work on a really fun bit of Chaos and practice my Alpha Legion scheme before Ravaged Star ships!
Finished her up in time for the painting contest hosted by @setsneedtofeed@lemmy.world Good amount of detail but easy to pick out and bring to a satisfying level.
Almost there with these two and I'm pleased with how the color scheme came together. Crackle paint on the base needs to dry, get some shade and dry brush, and there are a few last details to pick out. I did get a full garden of heads painted! Seven heads to pick from for five sisters.
Haven't done Sisters in a while and I didn't write down my paint list last time so I'm makingit up as I go. Base colors and a coat of nuln done. The Sacresant's armor is supposed to be darker of the two but in trying to preserve the metallic look I may have thinned the Speed Paint too much.
While I wait for holiday sales this weekend to pick up more red paint for the Blood Angels I returned to the Chaos Daemon Prince. Flesh contrast on everything, now for details.
First guys from the Space Marine side of Leviathan completed. My Blood Angels paint schemes keep leaning more and more Flesh Tearers, but I think I like that.
The other half of my "Beastie Bois" (lol @Fisk400@feddit.nu). I give #GamesWorkshop credit for making good use of thematically interesting concepts for the #KillTeam sets and not just doing basic units from the big game.
Since they are up against Tyranids I thought Blood Angels would be appropriate. Took a lot of red to get them base coated but now I just need to fill in the rest.
