How many more need to die before the west recognise it's endorsing, funding and defending a very active genocide? Does anyone out there really believe only 40k have died? Or even 180k? Once the dust has settled it won't suprise me if over half a million were killed and the west absolutely defending while going in circles airing their unequivocal support for Jews like what the actual fuck. Nobody has any right to dare talk about anti semitism again after this war, because I longer respect anti semitism, they've caused enough suffering in Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt and so on.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. Before I fully started using Lemmy maybe a month ago, Instagram and my former safe haven Reddit become absolutely toxic. I go from one to another and it's always people being blown up and comments saying most racist shit ever. People being racist misogynistic and other bs all the time (which can be funny in certain circumstances but not these one) So far I love the Lemmy community I've had some actual thought provoking conversation I've not had since early Reddit. I pray to get Lemmy never changes to to much in that regard

And what's wrong with other nations taking position there that aren't western? Sad you can no longer exclusively exploit African resources? Chinese relations with the global South is infinitely better than American/Britiish/french relations. I absolutely welcome china but not so much about Russia

I 1000% agree with this sentiment and to be honest im similar (except engineering EE srufent) and I was managing the world fine with all the increased algorithm and whatnot till COVID hit. I went from immensely internet literate and techy to depressed and stuck on social media all the time from waking up to sleeping I'll check Instagram (even tho I avoided tiktok for that same reason) honestly I still struggle with this, cause social media is more toxic, pain, and mind destroying then ever before. I hope I can cut this addiction before it's too late

The west saw the Jews as the enemies(foreigners who've lived in Europe for so long yet discriminated against them so bad the term anti semitism is formed), then the Germans/Nazis (didn't want a new empire outshining them), then comes the Soviets and now the arabs and chinese.

All of this to say terrorism is universal and those who link it to jihadis have a point they are trying to justify. In any western nation most of the terrorism is domestic and jihadi terrorisms biggest targets is other Muslims and those who defeated them were mostly Muslim including your bullshit western coalition.

I get you're joking, tho personally, I find the whole nazi thing stupid personally (tho in Scotland you wouldn't be calling people Nazis unless to be funny). Also as I learn more about history, I see as simplifying the fact Nazis werent the only bad guys. The only technical good guy with the allies was kind of America (at least initially) all the European ally nations (specially, UK, France, Belgium and Netherlands) were all evil nations that did "nazi like things for longer and then more brutally" Bad enough, Britain had "operation legacy" to essentially burn or destory all colonial documentations of crimes. Are Nazis the bad guys because they uniquely awful and despicable? Or is because they killed white Europeans and wanted to create a new empire that opposed the hegemonic power of UK and France. The whole "we did it for the Jews" I don't buy, the same Europe that persecuted them for years and had been banned or in ghettos in most nations. Do you really think they'd have such a war over a people they despise so much?
