That's a little under $10 where I am in Seattle. No tax on food here. If I feel like driving a little bit to Target, it's only $8. I definitely know of food deserts though. The town I grew up in only has Safeway and Walmart. The IGA closed down. Looking at prices, they are about the same as they are here which sucks because the incomes are nowhere near what they are here.

I'm alright with a week of groceries for the four of us choosing $125/wk but I know that is difficult for some.

Inflation is down to 2.4%. We are fairly close to the Fed's target of 2%.

Unfortunately it is also looking like we like methane and are likely going to keep using natural gas in new construction

We are keeping our carbon cap and trade system here in Washington at least. We will be helping world CO2 emissions go down 0.3% (~100 million tons out of the 35 billion tons).

Interesting. Every Republican family member that I have talked to has said Sanders is a Marxist.

Well that's a shame.

Anyway, how is everyone's day going?

Just an FYI that is probably surprising to nobody: the constitutional sheriff's movement has its roots from a white supremacist organization.

I was curious how cheap land was here in Washington. There is a posting of 570 acres for $815k in Riverside or if you want only 20 acres, there is land in Tonasket for $60k. Not really many people in either of those towns (not even sure Riverside qualifies as a town).
