The capital class. Kamala was up 10% with Tim Walz and their progressive platform, but then lobbyists and donors demanded that she adopt a more moderate platform. No one knows for sure what they said to her, but she immediately did a 180 and ran as a moderate Republican.

This country simply wanted a rapist, a criminal, they wanted a man who praises dictators

Voter participation was around 50% and some 12 million fewer people came out to vote this election. Both parties lost millions of voters, but Democrats lost more because they sold out to the donor class.

Americans don't like Trump, they have just lost faith in our broken two party system.

everyone left of center demanded change.

I think you mean "everyone left of FASCISM" because liberals are center-right at best. Center left is Social Democracy (Bernie Sanders and AOC)

Lmao, for real though, FDR was the last President that prioritized the working class over the capital class. And in turn capitalists tried to overthrow the government or have him killed: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_Plot

It was the stupidest of ideas. Republicans were never going to vote for her in any numbers

It is what the donor (capital) class wanted. Liberals are capitalists which means they serve the capital class first and foremost.

We have a two party system which is inherently hyper polarizing as it paints everything as being black and white. It is an unbelievably stupid and undemocratic system, and unfortunately, nothing will ever improve until we replace our broken two party system with a modern multiparty democracy

Either sound great to me. Co-ops are market socialism which is better than capitalism in every way

Workers for capitalism

Trump and his fascists deserve most of the blame, but I fear that liberals won't learn from this. Realpolitik is bullshit. When you promise to help people but then sell us out to lobbyists and the donor class decade after decade after decade, then people lose all faith in institutions. Facts don't matter because those facts were used to gaslight time and time again.

If you are rich you can rape and do whatever you want.

This is why I hate capitalism so much. Extreme power disparity is the heart of tyranny and the extreme disparities in wealth that capitalism creates only leads to extreme disparities in political power.

I fear that the US went past a breaking point and that the US will fully be an oligarchy after Trump is done

How so? My dad voted for Trump's fascism, but my mom did not. I am not going to avoid my mom just to punish my dad.

I sincerely hope that goes well for you. I doubt Trump will let it happen, he has vowed to deport all the foreigners, but I hope things work out for you
