In Australia they are able to request some x-rays. As in the entire spine, which ends up irradiating radio-sensitive organs like the thyroid and ovaries, often in young people. As a radiographer this shit drives me up the fucking wall, especially given the already frustrating battles over inappropriate imaging requests from real, actual doctors. Want to know a contributing factor to the increase in cancers? The absolutely absurd radiation doses people are sucking up over years of over-imaging.

That was my thought too. Nothing like a bit of blood and bone to get plants growing. Something, something...it's what plants crave!

I was a little worried this would be "Commuting is bad for your mental health.....so just live at work!". I may be getting a little cynical in my old age.

That's a pretty interesting idea. Using a fluid much denser than water to turn turbines. My main concern would be what their "patented fluid" is and how much damage would be done if it leaks. EDIT: Had a look at their site and the "high tech" fluid is made of commonly available materials and is non-toxic, non-reactive and environmentally benign. Flour and water? Slime?
