I knew a cat that would put kibble in her water dish to soften it. I see now that I should have been grateful she didn't use your cat's method.

I love the idea of building an EV from the ground up. I doubt I'll ever be in a position to take that kind of project on, though.

I'll second Vincent's suggestion. One person proposes three choices, the other either picks one or counters with three new choices. I also recommend having something on hand that takes zero preparation. For us that's usually some charcuterie, tuna with crackers, or a leftover dish that can be served cold.

That home page is perfect. No junk and a message explaining why there's no junk and how to get it back if you want it.

How long does it take before you can gender the plants?

I’m still pretty salty about the DNC doing Bernie Sanders so dirty.

The 2016 ~~Hillary coronation~~ primaries were such a joke.

That makes perfect sense, thank you for the thorough explanation!

If it has a 50% chance to increase by 10,000% or a 50% to decrease by 90%, the average expected price is an increase of about 5,000%. It's a finance thing, but I doubt the commenter was serious.

This one is plenty stinky: https://www.chewy.com/alaska-naturals-wild-alaskan-pollock/dp/105396

It even comes with a pump dispenser that works really well.

Boost also supports keyword filtering. It's one of my favorite features of the app. I find that browsing local on lemmy.world is sufficiently broad for my taste without needing to block thousands of meme, shitpost, or sports team specific communities.

Keyword filters are helpful for this, especially when people feel the need to post about a topic to every single community they can find. Boost has this as a feature, and I'm pretty sure several other apps do, too.

Sometimes I have to just block certain people, though.

Do you hate everything about windows 10? Upgrade to 11 and everything is different just to say that it is.

This game is absolutely worth its full price of $40. The gameplay is very linear, but in a way that I quite enjoyed. The sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem, is equally amazing. Easily two of my favorite games of all time.

When scrolling through a text post, the size and progress rate of the scroll bar varies dramatically depending on the length of the current comment. In the example below, the post body is very long, resulting in a tiny scroll bar with slow progress. Once you're down into the comments, the scroll bar is much larger and progresses faster.

Example: https://lemmy.world/post/6618261

I would like to filter comments based on keywords similar to how the post keyword filter works.

I would like to be able to block links from certain domains. For example, mute all posts leading to instagram.

Example: I would like to be able to filter out all communities that start with the word "shitty" by having a community filter for "shitty*".
