Me too. I noticed some of my posts only showed up in the .world instance of the community and nowhere else so I wasn't getting any replies. I really like the speed of this server so it'll probably become my main one now.
BTW, looking at your username, do you recommend any good book- or literature-related communities here on Lemmy?
Thanks. I used to read Grisham a lot but haven't in a long time. I'll check out book as well as your other suggestions.
Regarding that book community, when I try to hit "join", the button turns into "subscribe pending". Strange, but maybe it's just a temporary glitch between servers.
As for my own book suggestions, I've mainly been reading in Japanese for the past few years, in order to improve my Japanese reading ability, so many things I've read hasn't been translated into English yet.
Some books that have been translated into English and that I would recommend is Bullet Train by Kotaro Isaka. It's a satirical action thriller and it was also recently made into a Hollywood movie. I haven't seen the movie (which I heard was good) but I very much loved the book.
Keigo Higashino's mystery thrillers are great too. Lots of twists. I recommend The Devotion of Suspect X.
For classic Japanese literature, Osamu Dazai's Setting Sun is one of my favorites.
