People going missing in the Mediterranean is old news. That one guy did it for like 20 years.

I was out one night with my dad looking through a telescope at the Orion Nebula when suddenly I noticed one of the stars was moving. It was a dim light and I figured it was a satellite. I tracked it for a while, but then it came to a stop and went the other way. My dad and I swapped off tracking it for probably 10 minutes watching it come almost to a stop and go a different direction several times.

I haven’t the slightest idea what I saw. It was small and dim and sometimes it was hard to pick it out from the other stars. I imagine it had to of been either pretty small or far away. Either way it didn’t make any sense.

Hats off to the creator of LW, it can’t be easy running a server this big. I do hope we don’t just dominate the fediverse though, would kinda defeat the purpose of it.

Beehaw is sending a message, imho, that instances need take reasonable measures to ensure their users don’t repeatedly commit some sort of abuse.

Do mods even have this kind of power? Can they see what their users are posting on other instances?

For that matter, I don't know if this is so much a statement being made by Beehaw about quality of users as it is a necessary step for their moderation style. I think Beehaw has very strict mdoeration policies and they're just having a hard time keeping up with their own influx of users let alone LW and SIJW who have open registration.

In their own words

This is also not a permanent judgement (or a moral one on the part of either community’s owner, i should add–we just have differing interests here and that’s fine).

It's in the title! What's your current campaign or setting you've been playing in recently?

I'll start:

I've been running a homebrew game that's gone all over the place over the years. My group fought a doppleganger invasion, overthrew a local oppressive government, battled with a devil cult, and many more odd ball adventures.

Recently after one party member drew the Moon from the Deck of Many things and wished to become "God Emperor" I decided to overhaul the world as a space themed adventure. The party is now playing in an alternate reality where the party member who made the wish is now Emperor but the party's old characters, twisted by some evil magic, are now working against them to bring down the empire.
