You are out of your mind

The Democrat vote is ALWAYS 15 million below Biden's RECORD popular vote number! Trump got HUGE numbers for a Republican. Do your homework, and stop trying to create a narrative using COVID numbers.

Surely you didn't expect another 81+ Million democrat turnout like Biden got, did you? That will not happen again, not for a long time. It's an outlier by a good bit. Even with the Libertarian and Green candidates it was ridiculous what happened last election, and is really only explained by Covid and people not having other things to do. Check out the link to Wikipedia popular vote numbers below, or just look at the graphic. It's startling. You got as much as Democrats could give.

Massive Republican Turnout.

That's never the case. You always need to campaign.

Not AGAINST something.

FOR something.

Inflation killed her. It's the economy. You have to send the message that you're going to make things better. Numbers don't help here. What matters is what people's bank account is like.

She didn't say shit about it. He did.

Did she campaign? Did she run a good campaign? Did she go into the black barber shops, like Trump did? Did she go into the McDonald's, like Trump did? Did she go out to meet the people, like Trump did?

She tried scaring people away from Trump and it didn't work. They want an economy that's doing better than this. They want jobs. They want their life to be better.

That's how you win elections. You tell people you know how to make their lives better. You don't tell them the other guy is going to make their life worse. That doesn't win an election. It never has.

It gets downvotes, but it's still not wrong.

And I don't suppose it could be because people are not happy with joblessness and inflation?

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 week ago

How does that compare to past elections?

[–] Melatonin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

He went to black barbershops and McDonald's. Where the hell was she? I'm sorry, but this fucker was the most beatable candidate ever and it's close.

That's fucked up.

I know I know. I wanted to import data from a web page - title and publishing dates from Stephen King books. I wanted to update my caliber library with the correct metadata from the online source.

I tried three different AI's. Claude. Pi. And ChatGPT. I've spent all day copying and pasting error messages copying pasting new scripts running scripts copying and pasting error messages etc etc etc.

I could have gone line by line through my caliber library manually in much less time than I have spent doing this.

There's no question the AI knows how to program in Python better than I do. What hope do I have of ever reducing my workload significantly using Python?

If it's cheap to get stars, I'm definitely having Dolph Lundgren at my next birthday party. Dude doesn't have to do anything, just hang out.

I prefer Claude.ai

Anybody got any thoughts? I'm planning a watch of the entire series and a deep dive into the offshoots.

EDIT: This one is not the original producer's page, but it's laid out a lot more easy to follow. Moves from 1 through to the end.

The 60s and 70s (for me) had no awareness of my problems. Only now am I discovering that I did what I could, but I wasn't equipped to deal with people well.

It's too late for me, but I'm glad kids today have more resources, although the problems are just as hard to navigate.

God bless you all.

Tell me why I'm wrong, and if not, repudiate this maudlin, caricatured, two-dimensional, simplistic, cliched, sappy, melodramatic, piece of cinematic legend.

Only useful against technology really, and that seems so unrealistic. That's where it lost me, the convenience of a creature that can EM machines. So unbelievable.

Plus Kick-Ass saving the world.

I understand that our local galaxy group is considered "gravitationally bound" and therefore exempt from the expansion from each other ((, but we don't seem to have other galaxies collected into their own "local groups" of gravitationally bound clusters, so are we saying we're somehow unique? Is there a trick of perception taking place?)) <---edit:this is wrong

I found this quote in the Wikipedia article on the Expansion of the universe.

While objects cannot move faster than light, this limitation applies only with respect to local reference frames and does not limit the recession rates of cosmologically distant objects.

It seems to me that if we can perceive at cosmological distance something that cannot exist, perhaps we are falsely observing an expanding universe. Maybe everything IS gravitationally bound and we're just seeing expansion because... Relativity?
