I can respect that, but also respect that people will find it empty and confusing, especially because it isn't corporate, so there is no funnel to get the rolling. They have to be motivated enough to seek all of that information out and as much as people use social media, it isn't that important to them.

I don't use mastodon, but yes, people are use to social media doing everything for you. Youtube is probably the greatest example of a service that will spoonfeed you content with little to no input from the user. My understanding of mastodon is that you have to know what you're looking for to find content.
Somebody promote that driver! They're thinking outside the box to increase demand and brand awareness!
This country really fucking sucks.
Valid, though in some cases dark, points. The US is one of, if not the largest, per capita emitters on the planet, though. Our military alone is a top emitter. I just find the outlook for meaningful change in this country grim and the effects we've already begone to see from climate change are pretty severe.
So...uh...is everyone ready to join those of us slandered as "doomers" in reality now? Nothing of significance has been done or is being done, and this problem is not going away. It is only going to get worse. Unless everyone joins us in reality, it is over. I'm not exactly hopeful, as the "I hate all science" party just swept both houses, along with the presidency and they already had the courts.
I wasn't surprised by this outcome in the least. Nobody with any knowledge of this country's history or regular interaction with much of the trash that inhabits it should have been either. If you're still confused, look at the exit poll breakdowns by demographics.
Gonna take a two month breather?
Coked up on ketamine...🤔
Most places in the US are in addition to the bill, it's just that many people who don't carry cash, so you can add it to your debit/credit on a separate line, but leaving cash is always an option. Some places that deal with a lot of non-tippers have mandatory gratuity or make it mandatory for groups above a certain size. Either way, I think it's bullshit that the employees' wages are not accounted for in menu pricing, and I'm expected to figure it out.
Apparently, that's how it was with my great-uncle (close to my parents' age) in the eighties. He says my grandma was an asshole because she asked him if he just found out because everyone else had been known.
Ya'll tip over there? I thought the US was the only place with that assbackward practice.
Come on, it's obvious that they are migrating genomes and acronyms to realign. It's pretty simple, really...
