Thanks for the answers. That's a pretty big usability gap but I guess I have no idea what I'd do about it, so it makes sense.

Maybe just be able to see a list of another instance's communities instances, in the context of my own instance, so I could browse and go directly to a community instead of having to swap between tabs and fiddle with URLs?

Anyways thanks

Can someone help me understand how Lemmy works?

When I click this link I can't see very much content -- presumably because I'm not logged in and NSFW content is hidden by default.

Is there a way to get a view of the "lemmynsfw Frontpage", as my logged in lemmy.fmhy.ml identity? Specifically I want to see the lemmynsfw "local" view as if I was logged in there directly.

Bonus question; is there an easy way to do something like that on mobile, without fiddling with URLs?

The short answer is: you don't, sorry

The slightly less short answer is: when people are working on huge problems, they'll come up with ways to split that problem into smaller chunks that can be solved individually, and then you could use parallel computing to solve all those little chunks at the same time across many different computers. It's NOT something you can just do with any program you want, like a video game.
