I don't think pulling down the legal framework of one of our "allies" is a good way to ever repair the relation. We don't need to try and stoop lower than them, we just need to react fairly while building up our own economy so we are less depended on them. I think that's the way.

I'm european (as you probably noticed with my lemmy instance), for me the most important message of what is happening now is that we need to be less dependend on the US. The fact that this can happen and damage us so much means we need to be more self sufficient.

As a kid/teen I wanted to move to the US, now as an adult I noticed how good we have it here.

Exhausting, this is literally just bad for everyone

Woah actually sounds interesting, and this is all possible just with adguard or how did you set it up?

I am looking into setting up Home Assistant once I've secure an appartement but it seems kinda complicated.

They still just block ads right? My issue with that is that it breaks certain sites and due to it being on router level I can't just turn it off for that site (as far as I know, I may work in IT but I'm not thaaaat technical)

I personally had issues with AdGuard as a DNS with quite a few websites breaking. I use Quad9 instead.

Same with a VPN at router level, I play games that are harsh on VPN usage and don't want to get banned on those so can't use it network wide atm.

Even if you're not pirating as ads from google can be dangerous as well: Ublock Origin + Privacy Badger + Decentraleyes + VPN

Maar een tegenstander van een ban stelt: „Boycot liever alle nutteloze rommel die uit China komt.”

(Someone against a ban says: "Boycott all the useless stuff from China")

Why not both?

Understandable, most car companies have garbage software (the Yaris I drive now included). Tesla is just leagues ahead at this point and I hope VW is gonna improve a lot looking at their mockups

I really don't mind it, having driven a Tesla for a year it wasn't bad at all.

This is why I'm more looking forward to the id.2, this actually looks like a good one for the price https://www.volkswagen.nl/modellen/id-2all

There's also an ID.2all that's more geared towards the masses: https://www.volkswagen.nl/modellen/id-2all

Personally this car would cover any drive I do except going to my parents and back (where I'd have to charge... at home here and at my parents there... so still fine really)
