What's "Forward Secrecy"?

[–] ItsYourBoyHalo@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

Honestly, yes. I don't personaly used Calyx VPN or Riseup because, in my experience, the download and upload speeds are terrible. Calyx is a reputable group, however.

Hey, one option I could think of was the Moto G7 by Motorola. It is slightly bigger than the iPhone 13 mini (6.18 x 2.96 x 0.31 in), but it is supported by Lineage OS.

It's actually my personal device of choice, and it works pretty well with Lineage. I have smaller hands, so it is perfect too.

Did you ever try looking into this specific model?

Title.

I've used it before, but I'm not really sure how I feel about it. Would you use it on a day-to-day basis?

I highly encourage you to Google this question. You don't seem to understand what a frame of reference is. At least not in this context.

I am. "Halfway" is not a frame of reference. You need to arbitrarily define what up and down is. North and South is.

Dude, North, South, East and West are not real either. Again, you need a frame of reference. Those are 100% arbitrary.

That doesn't really tell me anything, haha

I don't understand why people are downvoting this, but up, down, left, right all depend on your frame of reference.

Up in space is nowhere, but at the same time it is everywhere. Those are not physical concepts and they require necessarily a frame of reference to even make sense.

Welp... Time to bleach my eyes

I find it very annoying to scroll all the way to where I left off.

One option is Notally on F-droid and on the Google Play Store. It's FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) and it has all of the features you mentioned. I use it as my everyday note taking app and I have zero complaints so far.

There's Safe Notes on F-Droid as well, which is pretty much identical to Notally feature-wise, but your notes are encrypted (locally).

I've been loving Jerboa, but I'm tired of having to see the same posts every time I open the app.

Title. For some odd reason I can only search for stuff within my instance.

Title. I really like the design, but I am wondering whether it is open source or not.

Say a user doxxes someone, uploads illegal material, or uploads copyrighted material; what is the extent the responsability of instance owners/admins when it comes to what users post?

Hello fellow Lemmings!

Title. Is it possible for Lemmy to abide by the GDPR given that you can't delete info from other instances.

Title.

I have started to use Lemmy quite frequently in the last few days. I really like it, but I haven't been able to find any documentation that explains how my data is being handled, what kind of data is being collected and how it is being used and neither have I been able to find an in-depth explanation – or any explanation for that matter – about Lemmy's security model.

Would anyone please provide a source where I could find that info?

Lemmies? Lemurs?

É meio complicado já que pra usar o Fediverse você tem que no mínimo ter um inglês intermediário pra se virar. O que vocês acham?
