Time to learn moisture farming

We should, and it should be called the Logan's Run law, to give them something to think about

I should have said more, for once. I meant simulation more to describe the Bethesda house style, which seems to be this idea that having apples that can roll around on a table or whatever is immersive and engaging enough that you don't need Michael Kirkbride hanging around putting weird metaphysical shit all over the place, actually. I wasn't saying they were good at it, only that it appears to be what they think.

I think they really don't believe in storytelling in the way traditional game writers do. They think enough simulation can replace good writing.

Personally I'm certain they are wrong, and it's tragic that they own the Elder Scrolls IP.

This depends on the information and the recipient, every single time. Genuine understanding between two minds is more rare and precious than gold, and it fades all too quickly. It is like a flower once picked. You tend that garden if you want more than one.

Sorry to bother, autocorrect is dire these days isn't it?

Carte blanche, i.e. blank check. Just sharing in case that wasn't a typo

No advice yet as I'm in the same exact boat. We're about to get ours evaluated for ADHD privately while unconvinced it's the best option... Ours is young enough that he doesn't really have memories of the US and started school here, but still comes off as blatantly American. It's been a comedy of errors learning how the school system works (putting him and my wife through school the last 3 years, somehow).

But hey, hit me up if you're ever out near Kent, I figure I owe you a pint or three for all the work you do to keep things fresh on Lemmy.

Doctor's had no explanation other than the discharge papers, can I get a hell yeah

I made quesabirria de res and proveletta cheese with consomme. My little innovation is that I gave it a pat of cilantro garlic compound butter with flake salt on top. I'm gonna die happy. These are the best tacos I've ever made. They taste better than being thin, god help me.

Absurdity is cruel, and cruelty is absurd.

But those tomatoes really stole the show

I'm shaking rn

I'm used to it being kind of simple - I'd configure DS4Windows, install hidhide etc, and connect via bluetooth. Now, no matter what I do, no game wants to read inputs from any controller I set up. Feeling defeated after a couple hours of poking around. Not looking for anyone to spoonfeed me a solution unless you've had the same issue and solved it, just grumbling.

No matter which account I use or which instance I am on, I can't post comments through the app. I just get error 401. Doesn't seem to happen on Firefox, so I doubt I've been banned or blocked. Is there a quick fix?

Edit 26 Feb 24: issue seems to be gone now!

This is my teapot. It's about 1.5L and has a forward handle for the wrist crushing weight of it. It's a monster, made in America. Sadly I dropped the lid a year ago, and have been using a bowl to cover it, which clatters and makes a hell of a noise from the steam.

Is there a better way? Anywhere that sells lids? Failing that, share your ersatz teapot lids.

Stealing from Weissman's board ideas, I made a gastrique with shallot and dried chiltepin for the cream cheese. The rest is all cheap and cheerful Lidl nibbles.

Really happy with it after about 11 years with a Cherry blue MX Das Keyboard, which is starting to break down. I'm exclusively WFH, so I get all the clicks.
