Whilst it is very obviously wrong, it is at least consistent with how we pronounce 'base'. English is weird.

The first can/tin opener wasn’t invented until about 75 years after canned food started being produced. During that time, people used hammers and chisels to open cans.

Rate limitation is hitting everything. I’m not even posting or anything - I can’t even browse the site whilst logged in. Clicking on tweets to load replies causes the rate limit error. Site is basically unusable.
