i keep seeing messages for individuals with supplies to stay away because they are disrupting the large scale efforts. so not sure what to believe.

i know firsthand that there are FEMA staging areas and such in the Piedmont.

i had a more coffee cup shaped glass cup i used only for earl grey (the only tea i like). it was my approximation of a Picard cup so i could say the thing

partner accidentally dropped it a few mos ago maybe i'll have to track this one down

i read the article and here's my anecdotal experience to back up the conclusions:

i started using cannabis again after a 10 year break. i was a daily user who didn't start until my 20s so it didn't impact my brain development that badly.

so firstly i'm neurodivegent and have always had trouble with outward displays of empathy. using cannabis allows me to engage in conversation fluidly and deeply about more emotional topics as well as work to resolve conflicts. it's socially lubricating but not in a dis inhibiting way.

also as a trans woman that's not yet on HRT, it allows me to enter a more feminine headspace. in fact it has always done this and was one of the main reasons i was attracted to it despite not completely enjoying the high when i was younger.

i call it "cognitive transitioning", basically a taste of what's to come when i get my hormones right with HRT.

it truly sickened me the first time i realized those huge bags of granular pesticide sold at lowes are for completely eradicating all arthropod life from your lawn

i mean at that point just tear up the grass and replace it with astroturf or pave it or something if the idea of a single bug is such an affront to your "lawn"

and it's positively liberal compared to The Culture series but obviously far more mainstream. there isn't a real radical reordering of society and humans are basically bioessentialist almost to a fanatical degree, but the fully automated luxury communism itself just seems so radical compared to any visions of the future dropped on us by the ruling classes of today
