There was a crazy idea a year or so ago that they would impeach Biden and somehow skip Harris and have the speaker of the House become president. Maybe that is their master plan.

I’ve been doing this for the more complex books with a lot of world building.

Will Bunch expresses what I've been thinking since Trump was elected. American democracy is under attack from within. The fascists who yearn for an authoritarian government in the media are promoting it, and the media who supposedly don't support it fail to recognize it. They are busy trying to follow the political playbook of the 20th century.

I don’t understand how the police decided this guy hadn’t planned to attack a church for racist reasons. Sounds like they didn’t find evidence at his house about his intention to attack a black church, but that doesn’t preclude racism as a reason.

I agree, there are different learning styles.

I'm watching Foundation. Watched one episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and I might continue watching that until our subscription to Paramount Plus runs out.

Are they going to blame Ukrainian drones?

Why do I want to put my hand in there? It just draws me in.

Its beautiful, a place for silence and contemplation.

I agree. I don't think the enshittification of Reddit is complete yet. Just like how Elon finds more ways to make Twitter worse.

I am so relieved that the special prosecutor is defending the rule of law with these indictments. If the Republicans (and not just Trump) got away with trying to overturn the election we could lose our democracy. We still can, but at least they are going to trial against this would-be tyrant and some of the people who helped him.

I think I heard that Poppinkream is a woman. I'm so happy to see them on Lemmy.
