I have myself modded from 2 different instances (beehaw.org and lemmy.ml) on my community. I pinned 2 post on my beehaw account but if I look at the community from my lemmy.ml account, there are no pinned posts. They actually don’t appear at all.

Any reason for this or is it just servers getting slammed?

It’s really cool how it all works. I like beehaw. I have a user on there as well. I started with lemmy.ml so I’ve just been using it more.
