I think you underestimate how much money they made in sales from the first year alone, enough to finance a reasonably run studio for years.

They likely have other sources of investment too, maybe publishing deals and private investors.

AAA developers and publishers have brainwashed people into thinking that MTX and subscriptions is necessary for continued development, its never been true it's onky greed.

I know what you mean, I bought a PSP and PSVita after my Steam Deck and currently I'm using the Vita as my goto emulator, the PSP is great for when I'm out and about and want something smaller.

Battery life on both is great

Etcher is not recommend anymore because it's adware and there are better free alternative like Impression

Yeah it's basically like Gears of War with more melee.

One of the best games after Dawn of War in the 40k franchise

In my experience the AUR is useful but almost unnecessary, and if you want to use flatpak you can get away from using the AUR entirely

I use bookshop.org for books, some of the profits go to Indy bookshops.

Otherwise I use Amazon like a search provider, find the item I like then go straight to retailer or manufacturers website.
