Well if they didn't want to be made fun of, maybe they shouldn't have been such babies?

For big tough space dudes they sure scream a lot in the books. So dramatic!

This is a diorama I'm currently working on of a burning loyalist. The guy setting him on fire is going to be a word bearer. This will be my entry for my LGS's painting contest.

Finally finished with this guy. A fun project but so many books and crannies to get into. I have named him Seneca Pious in honour of someone who helped helped out a lot while I was developing him.

What do you think his lore for turning to chaos should be?

Just started on this spooky boy and thought I would post a WIP since it is Wednesday.

First time doing water transfers and also masking liquid, so that has been fun!

What do you think?

Thanks, that is very nice of you to say!

I have a bits box but it was just for the extra parts from the models, I will have to start hoarding little objects that seem useful now!

Detol is a great idea and easy to get, I will try that next time.

Another vote for Howling Griffons, maybe my chapter can just not have hot rod flames!

I will order some green stuff now.

Thanks again, so much good advice!

That first one is such a cool idea! I will have to remember that!

And I will try to not strip them fully next time, I was just worried it would show up some how.

Dark Angels are pretty sick, do they have any offshoots that use yellow?

I think I like them for orks or vehicles but not as much on armour but I can see the appeal. Quartered could be interesting!

Thanks! That is so helpful! I wondered if they may have been Firehawks beforehand. I really like the colours but I'm not a huge fan of the hotrod flames haha!

Good point about what materials to use, I have some jewelry chain that I tied around a Khaos marines arm previously, but zip ties are such a good idea.

I will have to watch that video and figure out what paint stripping is available in Aus.

Hey everyone!

I started painting Warhammer mid last year and I while I have dabbled in kitbashing before I this is my first one that uses multiple sets as well as Tamiya putty.

I got some lil fellas off FB Marketplace for really cheap so I wanted to do something interesting with them. This was them before:

I have a few questions, and thought you guys and gals might be able to help.

  1. Any general advice for kitbashing?
  2. How do you strip your old paint? It took multiple washes with simple green and scrubbing, which isn't what I have heard is the general amount needed.
  3. What chapter do you think would go well with this guy? I wanted to keep some of the yellow and maybe red from the original pieces.

Also, if you want to check out some of my other stuff and give advice for a newcomer to the hobby that would be awesome! https://www.instagram.com/andrewsometimespaints?igsh=cmw4MWFwend2NzBx
