People tend not to chase power and status out of a burning desire to do good by their fellow man.
Coconut water is awesome, when it comes straight from the coconut. The crap they sell in cartons is depressing and disgusting.
Her being white is most certainly a factor. Racial judicial bias is definitely a thing. When you add in gender judicial bias you end with a tap on the wrist for a most egregious crime.
