I keep considering getting into this game. But I'm not sure if it's a passing fad or if it'll stick around. I know there's been a draught on decent games like this lately, so I know the temptation. I just don't want to spend 15 bucks for a game that dies in a 6 months.

For what the game is, $15 is a low cost of entry. So far it’s been well supported/regularly updated title and I don’t see that changing any time soon. If you’re looking for a fresh FPS experience, give it a go, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Better than $60 on a game that doesn't have building collisions...

Yeah, I pre-ordered 2042 for my brother because it came out a few days after his birthday, I also pre-ordered it so I could play it with him. At the time I was extremely busy and could not keep up with what was going on. It was a bummer day when it finally came out.
