As I wrote in the title, I'd love to have the option to scroll through the list of communities of an instance.

Maybe could you add that option in the post menu?

If I see a post of a community, I'd like to quickly know more about that instance.

Thank you for your hard work btw

Yeah, I've been wanting this as well. You may want to post this on the issue tracker, though, so that the request won't get lost in the feed.

Argh, I've never done that on GitHub nor I have an account there. Is there a good soul that could do it?

[โ€“] waldyrious@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I can do it later today if nobody else gets to it first.

Took me a bit longer, but here it is: https://github.com/laurencedawson/sync-for-lemmy/issues/242 โ€” it turns out someone had reported this already, so I added a link to this thread there.

This is one of the few things Lemmy in a browser still does better than any app(that I'm aware of). Would be a great addition.

Connect has that option and it's super useful to discover new communities

Wait, I've been using Contact and I had no idea! Where do you find this feature?

This would be great

I agree, it would be great to have the feature.

The web version of Lemmy has it so I suppose it should not be too complicated to fetch them.

I would absolutely love this. It was the first thing I wrote looking for.

Yes, this is required. This aids in the discovery of communities that the user may not have considered joining. Or they were aware of the idea but lacked a keyword to locate the community.

~~An even bigger thing would be something like https://lemmyverse.net/communities ... though that is a big ask ... ~~
