You can't fault the British Broadcasting Corporation for making a poor acronym choice back in 1922. Just look at Ayds, the weight reducing diet supplement.

Known for its quality sports, documentary and news coverage. Considered by many to be overly liberal and have a pro-Arab, anti-US/Israel slant in its news reporting.
