For some reason it gives me massive Kong studios vibes. I really love the extensive use of plants.

I freaking love this. Mind if I use it as reference for artwork?

Let me know If you need some more reference pics.

Oh please feel free to do so. Would be totally stoked to see it.

Alright thanks! I'll make sure to post it, if it's allowed in the sub. And I'd love to see more if you have any. I love drawing buildings, spent hours looking for a building with a soul for a new project. practically turned the internet over. It's really weird finding it in a small sub in lemmy. And it's like I can see the end result, it's so what I'm looking for I'm super excited

Very fitting for a garden centre.

TIL that Kawasaki is a city and not just a motorcycle manufacturer.

It's one of the 10 largest cities in Japan, it's located right at the south of Tokyo.

Also Kawasaki is a common last name in Japan :)

It does look unkempt though.

Alternative Text: Photo of a three stories high, almost completely square building with a lot of plants at the Front side. The building is painted dark blue, but the paint chips off in a lot of places revealing another coat of light blue. The second and third stories are connected via a steel staircase on the outside of the building. On the roof of the building are a lot of smaller trees. Half of the grund floor has no front wall and is used as a garage / storage.

Whoa holy shit I know that place! I live down the road from it. Weird seeing my neighborhood on here

Yo if you live there, visit Rickys Diner once. Its a hole in the wall burger shop, with one of the best burgers I've eaten :-)

All right, will do!

I can’t even imagine the effort that goes into maintaining all that. Epic

That's a lovely house. Love the overgrowth-ness of all the ground floor plants and the plants on the roof.
